Summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) in the Philippines

Join us next summer from the end of May through July 2020 for an unparalled opportunity to study marine science, genetics, and pollution in Dumaguete, Philippines. Hosted by Silliman University, you will have the opportunity to create your own researchproject in marine science, and learn about the incredible marine life and richness of Filipino culture in the world’s most marine biodiverse country.

Summer 2020 Study Abroad Opportunity in Global Biodiversity Conservation

Dates: June 10-21, 2020 in Marseille, France
Course #: SOS/LSC/ENV 494 or SOS/LSC598: Global Biodiversity Conservation Practice, Policy and Science 

Attend the IUCN World Conservation Congress, the largest conservation congress and networking event held every 4 years and hosted by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), followed by specialized excursions to national parks. Students will experience the world of conservation in practice, and be emersed in international conservation practice and policy. Many scholarship opportunities are available! Deadlines for most scholarships are February 1st.

Paid Research Opportunity in Microplastics and Human Health

Dates: May 26th to July 24th, 2020 at ASU-West campus
Conduct research with faculty mentors at ASU-West. Students will be paid $400/week, with potential invitations to continue working during the academic year. Priority application deadline is February 3rd.
